Milan Veres Obituary
He was born December 17, 1917, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Valka Veres.
Mr. Veres was a carpenter for more than 50 years. He was a member of Carpenters Local Union 84, California.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a radio operator specialist, serving in England, France, Belgium and Germany.
Mr. Veres was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Charleroi, where he was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
On April 14, 1951, he married Dolores Lorain Sedlak Veres, who passed July 12, 2012.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Surviving are six children, David Lee Veres (Judith), Joseph Andrew Veres (Paula), Beth Marie Pansino (Larry), Dale Edward Veres (Catherine), Jean Louise Muir (Robert) and Jennifer Ann Rubin (Michael); 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are two sisters, Millie Lettrich and Mary Surovchak, and two brothers, Paul and Edward Veres.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 226 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 3. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

May God's promised resurrection grant the family peace in this time of mourning. Link was a wonderful man of devotion and faith and I was glad to know him as his pastor back twenty years ago or so.

Dear Cousins,
My deepest condolences to all the family. I remember sitting at your kitchen table, and your dad telling me stories of WWII, and how him and my dad would always pass each other in Europe, and would meet up whenever possible. You dad was very much a story teller, and I will hold him in my heart.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Veres. aka Link. It was my pleasure and great honor to know this man. I am a server at Red Lobster and it was always a joy to see him come in with his sweet smile. I will miss seeing him. As a fellow Veteran myself, it is always an esteemed privilege to meet and get to know one of my own. Prayers go out to you to find the strength and peace that you need. This man will forever be in my heart.
