Ocala - Mrs. Janet V. Buckner, age 74, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She moved to Ocala in 1956 from her native Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She was a homemaker and lived her whole life loving her "Lord and Savior." She was also a volunteer with "Meals on Wheels" and Ward Highlands Elementary School. She was a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Ocala, Florida and Janet loved cooking, sewing, decorating, antiquing. She loved gardening, but most of all, loved spending time with her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years, James Paul Buckner; her son, William Phillip Roberts Jr., and sister, Donna Marie Bayes. She is survived by her daughter, Donna G. Leeward of Ocala, FL; her two sons: Raymond Phillip Roberts and Paul Manning Roberts, both of Ocala, FL; her sister, Gayle R. Carney of Brooksville, FL, and four grandchildren: Kenyon Roberts, Ryan Leeward, Allison Leeward and Verniece Roberts. There will be a "Celebration of Life" memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Leeward Air Ranch, Red Barn Community Center, 7221 S.E. 85th Lane, Ocala, Florida 34472. The family will receive friends just prior to service time. Donations may be made to "Make a Wish Foundation" in memory of Mrs. Janet V. Buckner. "She Will Be Greatly Missed."
