Dennis Alexander, 50, passed away April 19, 2009.
Born in Cuba, Ala., he had lived most of his life in this community. He had been employed at Ken Stewart's Grille.
Preceded in death by his mother, Winnie Alexander, he is survived by his wife, Ada Alexander; sons, Terry (Kerri) Smith, Jr., Robert Smith and Fred Shealey, Jr.; daughter, Shantel Smith, all of Akron; father, Floyd Alexander of Cuba, Ala.; sisters, Corrie Sharpe and Sandra Alexander (Mike), both of Akron, Patty Alexander of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kathy Alexander of Akron; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., with Rev. Robert Aaron officiating. Friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of service. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1271 5th Ave., Akron 44306.
