Michael Matheos

Michael Matheos, 78, of Diamond, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at his residence.

He was born May 10, 1926, in Akron, to John and Julia (Moscos) Matheos. He was a veteran of the World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps, and was a retired service sta tion manager and farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary L. (Lohr), whom he mar ried on Aug. 8, 1974; sons, Steve Matheos of Alliance and Michael Matheos of Atwater; daughters, Brookie Matheos of Ayden, N.C., and Tammy Leek of Hamilton; six stepchildren, many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; brother, George Matheos of Akron; sisters, Irene Poulos of Akron and Kathie Madias-Witt of Akron. He was preceded in death by first wife, Rhoda Matheos.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Cre matory in Kent is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929.
