I remember the first time I met Monna - she has a dog called Whiskers and she had come over to my parents house to pick up Rick. I had a brokem toe and Whiskers thought it was the next best chew toy. I called her mom for the longest time - she helped me get thru some rough times. I havent seen her in years but I believe that she will become a very special angel in heaven. For the rest of her family I will keep you in my prayers and keep your mom alive with my special memories of her.

To Monna, what a gracious and giving lady you were. Always on the move doing for others. You were a good friend and neighbor. I still have the beaded Cross and other things you made for me. Nadine has the many little gifts you two exchanged over the years too. You will be missed very much!!
Your friends and neighbors,
Nadine Kohut and Shirley Felean.

To Monna, Due to illness I wasen't able to make the trip to Ohio to say 'good-bye' to you. Breaks my heart that I'm not able to be there to comfort Rick and lend support to the rest of your wonderful family.
Your life WAS a true testiment of your love for others, faith of God and family.
Your friend 'Jan' is heartbroken and said; 'she lost the best friend she ever had in her life'.
We will never know how many people benefited from your tireless hours of charitable work especially for the Lupus Foundation.
Bailey will miss you too. He loved your visits and especially loved the "grandma boxes'you use to send with the basted dog bones. He always knew when he saw that little yellow envelope in the mail it was from Grandma Ohio, and couldn't wait to tear into it.
Thank you, for all your love and thoughtfulness since I became part of the family 22 years ago and for all the weekends (when we lived in Ohio) that you stayed with our dogs Jakey and Katie so Rick and I could have little getaways. AND, especially for being there for me after my transplant and the deaths of both of my parents. You and Kathy were ALWAYS there to support Rick and I and my family in anything we needed.A huge thanks from the bottom of my heart to you and Kathy .
My promise to you is; I will (continue) to Love, and Cherish your son. You raised a wonderful 'boy' that grew into an incredible man! I'm so proud to call him my Husband, life partner and friend. I promise I will comfort him through his grieving process and will try to replace as many 'hugs' that he will miss from his mom's arms.
I'll miss you!
With my Deep Love and Respect!

I will always remember my Aunt Monna. She was a great lady. I enjoyed her and her ways. I remember going to her house when I was a kid. We had a lot of fun. Love always.

What a special wonderful lady Sue was. Very elegant and gracious. I will always treasure the bead icicle ornaments she gave me years ago. They always go on the Christmas tree. We had a lot of fun dressing my baby, Mark, and taking him to CCA events. (He's 23 now) For years she was our "trash lady" for Lupus' CCA. What a job! I tried to help a few times and was amazed at the piles and piles of receipts and wrappers we had to sort and cut and count and bunch- and she did it faithfully for years to earn money for the Akron Area Lupus Foundation. We would often sit in the cute little kitchen window niche and drink tea when I'd visit. She wouldn't tell people her real name, but went by Sue, and was very proud to not look her age- which she wouldn't tell anyway! I miss that lady!
