Monique Bradley Obituary
Monique Jeneen Williams Bradley, 33, the daughter of Roger A. and Judith A. Williams, passed away September 14, 2013. She died at Encino Medical Hospital in Encino, California.
Monique was born in Akron July 26, 1980. She attended Our lady of the Elms from preschool through the 12th grade. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communications from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She worked in the community relations department for the Cleveland Indians. She married in January 2005 to Milton Bradley. To this union two sons, Jeremiah and Noah were born.
Monique accepted Christ at a very early age and became a member of Wesley Temple where she praised the Lord. At WesleyTemple she was an acolyte, member of the youth choir and a member of the Y's, a young missionary group. Her family attended Hope House Ministry in Granada Hills, Calif.
Nikki enjoyed traveling, but her favorite city was New York City.
She was a member of the Zeta Theta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Benjamin A. and Eleanor Anderson, Snow and Bertha Williams; aunts, Evelyn Ivory and Dorris Miller; and uncle, George C. Miller.
Monique was a DEVOTED mother and LOVING daughter. She valued her family and the many friends she made throughout her life. Monique had a heart as PURE as GOLD. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeremiah Christian and Noah Jalen; her parents, Roger A. and Judith A. Williams; brother, Todd (Nirvana) Williams; nieces, Britney and Taylor Williams; aunts, Eva "Bettye" Anderson, Ann (Charles) Vincent, Dr. Betty Strawbridge, Maggie Anderson; uncle, Benjamin (Razel) Anderson Jr.; special cousins, Benjamin A. Anderson III, Dana (Ted) Sherrer; godparents, Jean and Ray Cross; big sister, Opal Portis; special friend, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Walker; Godsisters, Anika Tyson and Synetra Liggins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Wesley Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, Rev. Dr. Charles Tyler officiating. Interment, Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 541 Ely Road, Akron, OH 44313,

My goodness. I still can't believe you're gone. Loved seeing you smile and hearing your laugh. Too big of a hole is still in many lives without you. Of course, knowing you're somewhere better now helps. No pain or strife anymore, thank God. Dear times are still remembered and always will be. I promise you that! Monique was a cherished friend, and I will forever miss her. A woman with an undeniable light, a spirit, sense of humor, and personality that invigorated others. You couldn't be around Monique long without loving who she was, and if you had the privilege of knowing her, then you had a selfless and beautiful friend. Words cannot express how much I hurt for her two young sons, her grieving family and friends. As beautiful as she was inside and out, I know she is more beautiful now that she's immersed in God's glory.

Leaving my friends behind at my school in Rittman to attend Our Lady of The Elms for high school was daunting for me. I remember my first day being scared, nervous and feeling alone. I then met Monique. She immediately made me feel at ease and took me under her wing. We became quick friends and spent a lot of our time at The Elms together. For four years we had more laughs and good times that to this day I still think about. She was always smiling. Always laughing. A genuinely good person. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with her parents, sons and family. Find comfort in knowing she is still with you in spirit and constantly watching over you all. God received a very special gift the day Monique entered into His Kingdom.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams and the boys, there are not enough words to express the grief felt losing Monique. I will continue to pray for all of you in this very difficult time. I remember 1999 meeting Monique and that infectious smile of hers. 14 years later we would talk about college days and how funny it was we are all mothers now...long way from our DePaul days.
