Victor Capozzi Obituary
Victor Capozzi, 60, passed away April 17, 2014 after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Vic was active in several things: he coached youth baseball for NHBA for eight years and coached baseball at North High for one year. He also coached CYO basketball at St. Martha's for eight years. Vic touched the lives of many children and adults his whole life. He loved camping. His grandchildren, Noah, Kyle, Owen and Ella were the loves of his life.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, John and Earline Capozzi and many other relatives. He is survived by his wife of 40 wonderful years, Denise; son, Chris (Stefanie); brother, Michael (Carole) Capozzi; sister, Debbie (Jerry) Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, along with so many wonderful friends. Special thanks to Dr. Waleed Nemer and Dr. Frederick Marquinez and everyone who helped with his care.
"ROLL TIDE ROLL"
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Family visitation will be Monday from 4 to 5 p.m. with public visiting from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron (corner of N. Main and Mildred). Vic's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), 383 Main Ave., fifth floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.

I remember so many great adventures that our families have taken. The one that I really remember, is the time we all headed down to Roscoe Village for their Christmas Tree Lighting..the roads were terrible. Vic hit a icy patch and his van went spinning out of control!! Very, very scary but Vic managed to gain control just before we went down an embankment, we just missed hitting a bridge railing. I don't think that anyone said a word until be got to Roscoe. It was freezing that night. I remember it being 3 degrees.

Denise, I am so sorry that Vic has passed. He is in heaven now. You are in my prayers. It says in the Obit that you have 4 grand kids. How lucky you are for that. God Bless.

DEBBIE AND FAMILY, I READ ABOUT YOUR BROTHER'S DEATH IN THE PAPER. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I WILL BE PRAYING FOR HIM AND ALL OF THE CAPOZZI'S THAT HAVE PASSED AWAY. KNOWING YOU, YOUR MOM AND DAD FROM ST. ANTHONY''S WHEN YOU AND DEBBIE WERE IN SCHOOL TOGETHER IS STILL FRESH IN MY MIND. I WILL ALSO BE SENDING A COPY OF VIC'S OBITUARY TO HER THRU AN EMAIL. SHE LIVES IN TERRA HAUTE, INDIANA. IT IS HARD TO LOSE A BROTHER, I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE LOST ALL OF MY BROTHERS. MY SISTER ALSO PASSED AWAY IN NOV.2011. VIC, REST IN ETERNAL PEACE NOW THAT YOU ARE AGAIN WITH YOUR MOM AND DAD.
