James Drey Obituary
James Millard Drey, age 66, died suddenly February 3, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 12, 1949, Jim was the son of the late Norman W. and Mary B. Drey and brother of the late Norman W. Drey, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Pamela E. Gifford; daughter, Mary Drey Haar; son-in-law, Jonathan Haar; son, James M. Drey, Jr.; brother-in-law, Tim Gifford; sister, Jane Landsbaum; and nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Ladue High School in St. Louis and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a BA in Sales and Marketing. Jim worked for more than 20 years in the Yellow Page industry as a manager and trainer. After leaving the industry, he fulfilled his life long dream of owning his own business and successfully operated two franchises for Handyman Connection located in Akron and Indianapolis, Ind., before retiring in 2014.
Jim was a member of CHADD and in 2010 he was named Teacher of the Year for their volunteer Parent-2-Parent program. Jim's passion was helping people and he continued to do that in retirement. He was known for his great sense of humor, never give up attitude, and love for his family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Adams Mason Funeral Home, (791 E. Market Street, Akron).

Jimmy's laugh will never Die, his ability to Listen to others, is unsurpassed. He was my Friend for 40 years. He still remains my friend. His death is so hard to accept, yet his memories ease the Pain. Pam, the Love of his Life, is the Catilist that made Jimmy's personality so infectious to others. Don't say good by to my friend, say shalom.
