Evan C. Parker Jr.

Evan was born in Copley, Ohio to Evan and Doris Parker. A skilled carpenter at an early age, he was then drafted into the Army in 1942. When he returned home he continued his love for carpentry.

He married the love of his life, Donna (Swire) Parker May 31, 1961.

Baptized in 1971 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses after learning his love for Bible truths in Ohio, he continued serving as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in York, S.C. until his death.

In late 2015, he moved to South Carolina and gained many more spiritual family and friends who referred to him as "pops, dad, and grandpa".

Evan is survived by his children, Darlene (husband Tom Greer), David, Duane (wife Jodi), Dwight (wife Jeanne), Dawn and Devan (husband John Vanek); stepdaughter. Candace Johnston; and his brother, Forrest (wife Jane Ellen). He leaves behind 28 grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren. Evan was preceded indeath by his loving wife, Donna; son, Clifford; stepdaughter, Robin (Wells); and siblings, Richard, Bonnie and Evelyn. He will be very missed by many more. Love you Dad!

Memorial service Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5838 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd., Clinton, Ohio,
