Melvin Mart Dobyns

Melvin Mart Dobyns, age 72, of Nicoma Park, OK, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 due to extensive ongoing illnesses. He was born at Stuart, OK on August 28, 1931 to Melven C. and Myrtle B. (Morgan) Dobyns. Mart enjoyed going to church, telling stories of his childhood in the Blue Community area, fishing, hunting, and most of all being with his partner and love of his life, Mrs. Joyce Dobyns. There was a twinkle in his eyes when he spoke about his sweetheart of 54 years. Mart is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters: Joy Nell Dickey of Nicoma Park; Gayle Horner and husband, Tracy of OKC, Janice Dobyns of OKC; two grandchildren: Jonathan Horner and Matthew Rich; a sister, Mildred: and many other relatives and a host of friends including special friend of the family, Kenneth Lee Hicks and his daughters Lori and Kendra. Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 5, 2004 with interment at KOLB Cemetery.
