David Dillon Obituary

David Wesley Dillon was born on May 14, 1974 and left our earthly world June 5, 2009. David graduated from Midwest City H.S. in 1993. He had recently moved to Austin, TX to make a new start. David loved to skateboard and snowboard and was an avid cyclist. He loved and was loved by so many close friends and family. Blazers fans may remember him as Rev. Dave who set on the glass in section 110. David is survived by his mother Cathy Bates and his "Papa" Wallace Davis both of Yukon OK, aunt, Ginger Strudgeon, cousin, Nicholas Davis , father, John Dillon, all of Moore OK, and grandmother, Betty Dillon. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Davis and his favorite uncle, Paul Davis. David was too precious for the harshness of this earth. God saw that He could not save my beloved son so He called him home where he will rest in the Father's arms for eternity. His family and many friends will always miss him. Please help us remember him at a service in his honor at 1:00 p.m., Thurs., June 11, 2009, at the Yanda and Son Chapel, Yukon. Online condolences may be signed at www.yandaandson funeralhome.com

I miss you Dave... I wish I'd known. I wish we'd had more time. I'm sorry that I didn't return your call when I promised I would. I have some great photos of us during good times! You were always there. You were always where you said you'd be. I won't ever forget you, my friend. I love you forever and ever. Until we meet again.... Jiffy

I do not know how to say goodbye to 10 years of friendship. I have not shed many tears in my life.... Now I can't seem to find the end to them. You showed me how to be the best person I could be. Thank you my friend for always being there.

David, I never knew you personally, but as a sophomore at Midwest City HS during your Sr. year, I remember your face. You always had a peaceful presence about you. Never intimidating. As a fellow Blazer's fan, your presence at the games will be missed for many years to come. May you rest in peace.
