On this one year anniversary of Warren's passing I want his family to know how fondly he is still remembered. Warren was a great guy, funny & sweet, and always with that wonderful smile. I'm very thankful to have met and known him and I value the memories dearly. Warren's family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Warren....What can I say but thanks for the memories..hanging out at Cactus Jacks and at parties..I thought you were the love of my life in highschool and than you and Mark and the boys would play some prank and I wanted to wring your neck....Didn't get to keep up with you after highschool very much, but when we did see each other at the softball park or talk on the phone it was just like highschool all over. Same old Warren...gotta love him...Am so sorry to hear of your battle, but knowing you are no longer in pain brings great relief. I lost my Mom, last October so I hope she is watching over all our NWC classmates just as she did in highschool. Rhonda and family, please know you are in my prayers as well.
Peace be with you always

Warren and I hired on at Tinker AFB at the same time. It turned into a almost 29 year friendship. We played to many rounds of golf to count and spent time doing numerous hobbies and fun. He will be greatly missed !!

Warren at Will Rogers Airport...October 1984

I met Warren during the summer of 1984 at Will Rogers Airport. He was an aircraft fueler and I was a customer service representative for America West Airlines. Warren socialized with other airline employees from the airport and me. He was so cute and so much fun! In October, America West left OKC and we opened a station in Salt Lake City. We tried to get Warren to come with us and work for America West, but I remember him telling us that he wanted to stay near home. I lost contact with Warren that year and have always wondered what became of him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of Warren!

Blake,
I heard your news yesterday and I tossed and turned throughout the night with memories racing through my head. I have sorrows as I did not know of your suffering. Oh what fun it would be to reminisce our past. You will always be a part of my history, that will never change. The countless years we spent together but minutes I would never change. You helped shape my life to what it is today. I hope you felt the same. I know the definition of a friend based on who you were to me.
As I think of our times I recall many crazy things. I remember many firsts and all the fun we had. What would disco be without you on the floor? I hear songs today with memories of our past. From the Commodores, Bee Gees, Journey, Foreigner, and the Cars, all have special memories of our times. Your dash board drumming still rings in my ear.
Our first ski trip, what fun we had, missing the bus, how did we know it was 6:00 AM and not 6:00 PM?
Our first apartment, I guess we were too loud?
Our trip to Padre, did you know after playing in the Gulf all day you could be miles from where you started?
So many days were spent on the basketball court or on the softball diamond sharing time with all your friends. We had our fun times together but there are many others that have their own special memories of you. I read through the guest book and remember all the faces with whom you befriended. I remember your smile and stories with many individuals. My memories continue to surface but now remember you lay your head down for the final day. Outwardly sad with tears on my face, but so happy I was able to share memories with you.
God bless us all,
This was taken when Warren first joined the Navy.

I think it was in 2002 that Warren and I swapped pictures. Not sure how old he was here as it wasn't written on the back but he was cute as ever.

I really enjoyed reading the other guest book entries and I felt the same way about Warren. I remember him fondly and as such a fun guy!! I wish I could've seen him before he transitioned to a better place.

I have nothing but good memories of Warren. We would go for years without talking and then pick right up where we'd left off. I will go home this evening and look for our old photos. To the family, I am very sorry. A fun memory you might enjoy - he never tired of trying to explain the game of football. Fact is, I'm just not a fan but enjoyed his thinking I just didn't get it.

I will also always remember that contagious smile. From the first time meeting Warren I referred to him as "Bubba" he just became family. Always spoke so kindly of his family, and was quite the teaser and mischief maker... I am thinking fun was his middle name. Dedicated to family and friends. Great qualities Bubba! Sad in our hearts that you have left us but ever so grateful you are out of pain and are watching over us all now. Until we meet again my friend....

Ahh...Warren. Such a fun and great guy. I lost touch with Warren after high school, but I will always have such fond memories. He, Mark McWhorter, and Jimmy Clark were always laughing and you couldn't help but laugh with them. He and Mark even visited my parents after high school and I moved away. They enjoyed those visits. I'm so sad that he suffered thru cancer, but he now has the ultimate healing. Maybe he and my dad are on the golf course in heaven. Many thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I grew up with Warren from kindergarten through the 12th grade. The two things that stands out most to me was his contagious smile and how nice and even tempered he was. Although I lost contact with him after high school, I've wondered about him from time to time. I'm sorry for your loss, but thankful his pain and suffering are no more. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Warren was my neighbor and was a very good friend. Although we lost track of each other it seems we always picked right back up when we saw each other. He was a big supporter of me on my road to MLB and I always appreciated that. We also played together on a State Championship basketball team at Baptist Temple in 1977...He is a good man. I am sad to hear this but happy he is in a better place and not hurting...Thanks..DeWayne Vaughn
