I got to know Miles when we were 16 years old and attending the 1966 Summer Language Institute in Germany studying under Herr George Schoener. Miles was a fun companion and even then one knew he would go on to accomplish much in his life both personally and professionally. Stephan Jones

Miles was a good man and a wonderful lawyer, he helped me when I needed it the most not just because it was a job but because he was just that way. God bless his family he will be missed.

My heart is heavy with sadness for the loss of such a wonderful classmate. I will always remember the teen dances at the Methodist church on Friday nights, hoping Miles would ask me to dance. I was new to Lawrence and he was one of my first friends plus a great dancer. I thank him for the memories.

Miles befriended me our first day in 7th Grade "Common Learnings" in the annex building outside Central Junior High. He encouraged me on my first winter overnight camp out when we froze our butts. He has warmed my life ever since. I celebrate how he presented himself with bold confidence, and honor his private heart that held doubts like the rest of us. He tried as hard as he knew to be the best man he could, and God blessed his every effort. Our world is a better place because Miles walked among us.

I went to junior high and high school with Miles. I haven't seen him for years, but I can still hear his voice and see him just as he was then. I am so sorry about his death. Every reunion makes me cherish dear old friends more and more. I will miss Miles. I know he was a wonderful man.

I am stunned to hear of Miles's passing. We were close from first grade until college, and went to junior prom together, driven by his father Jack. His family was very dear to me, too. Just a couple months ago we visited Lawrence and drove by his former house at 1617 Massachusetts Street. So many warm memories flood my mind. May the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ surround all who loved Miles.

Miles attended the Texas Auction Academy in June of this year and was a Graduate of our 20th Anniversary Class. He thoroughly enjoyed the school and was extremely proud to finally be an Auctioneer which was a lifelong dream. On behalf of the Texas Auction Academy, our Auctioneer Instructors and Staff, we extend our sincerest condolences to Miles Family. I'm sure Miles is calling a big auction today and having a big time doing it! God Bless, Mike & Lori Jones
