Laurie Urbanski Obituary
Born Aug. 3, 1957, in Salamanca, she was a daughter of Juanita Keenen and the late Thomas Keenen. She was married April 11, 1980, in the former St. Patrick's Church in Salamanca to Mr. Dennis Urbanski, who survives.
Laurie was employed with the CCSE Federal Credit Union for almost 30 years as manager. She had previously worked at the HUB and Cattaraugus County Bank in Little Valley.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and attended the Free Methodist Church in Salamanca.
Laurie's life was about her two boys, her husband, her grandson and family. Laurie loved being with family. Being at home was special to her, whether it was working on her flowers, being by the pool or just cuddling up with a blanket watching her favorite show. On occasion, she may have been seen at the "baby casino" playing pennies. Laurie also enjoyed fashion, shopping trips and her Thursday night bowling league.
She was truly loved by many people and will be sadly missed.
Surviving besides her husband and mother are two sons, Jason (Holly Edwards) Urbanski and Jordan (Amanda Spaulding) Urbanski, both of Salamanca; one grandson, Cole Urbanski of Salamanca; one sister, Ann Keenen of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; four brothers, Matthew (Monya) Keenen of Houston, Bernard (Barbara) Keenen of Girand, Pa., Dr. Charles (Gail) Keenen of Elbridge and Kevin (Sonya) Keenen of Little Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 10, 2013) in Our Lady of Peace Parish with the Rev. Patrick Melfi officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.

I think of Laurie often. We were friends since kindergarten and spoke over the years. It´s sad she was taken so early in her life. Looking forward to a long talk in the future, Laurie. Miss you.

Please know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as you journey this path of sorrow. The valleys and mountain tops are many and sometimes it is comforting to know that others are praying for Gods love and strength to see you through. Lauri had a most beautiful smile which spoke volumes to what was on the inside. I am so truly sorry for her passing.
