James Schena Obituary
Born Feb. 2, 1931, in Olean, he was the son of the late Domenic and Victoria Cristini Schena. On Sept. 7, 1957, in Andover, he married the former Marcella A. Smith, who passed away June 10, 1999.
He was a graduate of the Bolivar High School Class of 1950 and Alfred State College. A veteran of the Korean War, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954. He was a purchasing agent at Clark Brothers, retiring in 1991.
Jim was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and the Bolivar American Legion.
Surviving are four sons, Christopher (Sue) Schena of Great Valley, Martin (Carolyn) Schena of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Philip (Mary) Schena of Olean and Robert (Kulwinder) Schena of Fishers, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday (Feb. 21, 2014) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. Funeral services will be held Saturday (Feb. 22, 2014) beginning with a prayer service in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Angels Church. Father Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. A Scripture wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary of the Angels Church Capital Building Fund.

I remember Jim fondly from the Purchasing Dept at Dresser-Rand back in the day when I worked in Marketing. It was great times back then. He will be missed. God bless all the family members and grant them all peace. Lola
