Mary Anaya Obituary
Age 42 - Oct 21, 2009
Omaha. Went to be with the Lord. Mary was dedicated to her Lord and was known for her strong character and commitment to the work of helping those in need. There was nothing that could stop her, she wasn't afraid of challenges. She had a heart for helping people. When the Anaya's first started the Mission for All Nations they were determined to make whatever sacrifices were needed to see it succeed in order to feed, clothe and minister to those in need. Even with all that they had to do, Mary was always known to go out of her way to seek out people who she knew needed encouragement and a helping hand. Many have said she was one of the most compassionate people they ever knew. She was a loving mom to everyone and was always trying to figure out how to help people and provide everything they needed even if it meant she would have to go without in order to give to others. Mary was a special individual who not only was a wife but a mother of 10 beautiful children. She did a superb job at managing her family life alongside the largest food pantry operation in the state of Nebraska. Her family and Mission for All Nations are a testimony of her incredible and unique talents and abilities. Her passion for life and others kept her focused and continually striving to meet God's calling for her life. Survived by husband, Josue Anaya of 23 years; parents, Sherman and Betty Mills; children, Joshua, Jeremiah, Rachel, John, Judah, James, Rhema, Rosa, Justus and Joel Anaya; sisters, Bonnie Kerber and Deborah Shively; brothers, Stephen (Cindy) Mills, John Mills and Daniel (Joni) Mills.
Celebration of Mary's Life Saturday, 9am at Glad Tidings Church (7415 Hickory St.). VISITATION Friday, 4-8pm at Braman Mortuary (72nd St. Chapel). Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. I was blessed with the unique opportunity to meet your wife/mother online because of the MOMY'S group several years back. Mary wanted to meet face to face, so we gathered all of our children and headed to the Omaha Children's Museum. What a wonderful memory for me. I also had her come to speak for our homeschool group, she was such a wonderfully, organized woman. I pray you remember all the wonderful memories you had with her. Many lives were touched and changed beacause of this wonderful woman of God. May our heavenly Father give you peace as you mourn her loss.

What a terrible loss--especially for Mary's family, but also for those of us whom she encouraged by her example. Thankfully we can look forward to Heaven where death will be no more. I pray God will grant her husband & children strength and peace through this terrible time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I knew the Anaya Family and when i heard that Sister Mary past away, my heart broke down,because she left behind 10 wonderful kids, but i know that God is always faithful and will continue to be with the Family!...i have the Family in Prayers!!!...

What a legacy Mary leaves -- a mama, servant and passionate follower of Christ. She didn't just pass through people's lives; she stopped long enough to touch and talk and help and learn and listen ... and love. She was an example of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

I went to church with Mary and her family. She was a great person who ws laways there to help where needed. My heart and prayers go out to the family. Mary is now Cancer free and safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior

I did not have the pleasure to know Mary personally. I have heard so many wonderful things about her. She will be missed by many. It is truley sad when a person that is this special passes at such an early time in her life. My prayers go out to her children and husband and may God be with all of them in this difficult time.

Mary and the baby are resting eternally with the Lord, which is a source of comfort. The Lord has reasons for all He does, which we may never understand. Although the news of Mary and her precious baby's passing no doubt will leave many deeply saddened, she has left behind a beautiful legacy! I praise the Lord that she is reunited with her baby in Heaven and being comforted in the presence of our Mighty Savior. We here on earth are mourning, but Heaven is celebrating because a daughter came home to be with her Father.

Mary was truly an amazing woman. She was an inspiration to me. I delighted with her on her pregnancy and mourned the diagnosis of cancer. I'm overcome with sadness today. I pray for her family.

We did not know Mary personally, but became aware of her ministry, family, and the disease she faced and have prayed for her for a number of weeks. We celebrate her life and her witness and pray for her family and friends.
