Lincoln. Widow of Jerome D. Formerly of Peru, NE. Born in Brainard, NE on December 16, 1922 to John and Josephine (Dolezal) Polacek. Homemaker, secretary at Peru State Achievement Foundation and teacher. Survived by Son Steve Stemper of Omaha; Daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Fred Hiykel of Omaha; Son and daughter-in-law Dave and Kim Stemper of Lincoln; Daughter and son-in-law Donna and Ken Frohlich of Papillion; Daughter and son-in-law Deb and Kevin Kinney of Lincoln; Grandchildren Michelle, Fred, Amy, Katie, Jeff; 7 great grandchildren; Sister Sophie Steager of David City, NE; Sister-in-law Kay Shinn of Lincoln; Brother-in-law Mervin Henricksen of Exeter, NE; Nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, parents, 9 brothers and sisters.

Our sincere sympathy to the Stemper children, you will be in our thoughts during this stressful time. We still talk about your Dad, especially when we go to Peru and drive down the "avenue". Your folks were such good, good people.

Just a note to express my sympathy to the family. I know how difficult Elsie's prolonged illness was on her, as well as her family members. I hope she has now found everlasting peace in rejoining her beloved husband.

Aunt Elsie - you will be missed dearly. Our families had so much fun growing up and coming to Peru for the holidays. You and Uncle Jerry always let up play at the University's gym and what a treat it was. You always had a smile on your face and welcomed us. You led by example and it left an impression on my life. Thanks for being a great Aunt. Enjoy Heaven!!!
