Marilyn Ebert Obituary

Ebert, Marilyn Joan
Apr 2, 1932 - Jan 12, 2013

Marilyn was born the daughter of John Cunningham and Marie Schulz Cunningham in Council Bluffs, IA. As a child, she moved to Westphalia, IA and graduated from Westphalia High School with the class of 1951. Marilyn was united in marriage to Donald Ebert on August 5, 1952. She was a member of St. Columbanus Church of Weston. She held a passion for children, animals and cleaning. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of their time spent with mom/grandma. Because of Marilyn's sense of humor and warm heart, she had many wonderful friends during her lifetime. It's because of this warm heart, the family has such strong feelings of adoration for this special lady. She also enjoyed her many years of traveling as a snow bird. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Ebert; children, Linda (Keith) Adams, Debbie Carpenter, John (Melody) Ebert, all Council Bluffs, Julie (Paul) Pitts, Oskaloosa, IA, Jeff (Theresa) Ebert, Omaha, and Mary Wetzel, Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister Patricia (Norbert) Kloewer; and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn Entered Rest on Saturday after a 12-year battle with Alzheimers. She was 80 years of age, and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Cunningham; daughter Janelle; son-in-law Mark Carpenter; and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Tom Minear.
