Dr. James was truly one of the kindest, and most interesting men I have ever met in my life. Flynn, the children, and I valued his friendship so much. He will be deeply missed by our entire family. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you Ina, and your whole family.

My sincerest condolences to the family to Charlie James. As a newly hired assistant professor at UGA, I knew him in his capacity as Senior Associate Dean, and I valued both his expertise and his kindness.

Charlie always seemed genuinely glad to see me and always had a kind word and a smile. He was an example of the best of human nature.

Dear Mrs. James, Susan, Rob and family,
Thinking of you during this difficult time and praying for peace in your hearts. I will always remember hearing Mr. James' whistle while sitting in my tree house by the side gate to your backyard. It was always so nice to know you all were next door...you were such wonderful neighbors. I can still see Mr. James out in the yard working so hard and always wearing his gardening hat! I hope to come to the service tomorrow to see all of you. Love to all of you.
