CORAZON OCA Obituary
Cora was born in Meycauayan, Philippines, received her medical degree from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines, completed her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., and conducted her fellowship in ambulatory pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine.
A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Cora worked with several medical centers in Orange County, including Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Hoag Hospital, and Orange Coast Memorial Center. Cora ran her practice in Fountain Valley for 40 years helping families, some for three generations. She was a humanitarian primarily concerned with providing quality care and love for not only her family, but those she was able to reach through pediatrics.
Viewings are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21 at Heritage-Dilday Memorial Services on 17911 Beach Blvd., Huntington Beach. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish, 16400 Springdale St., followed by interment at the Good Shepherd Cemetery, 8301 Talbert Ave., with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. at Heritage-Dilday.

I was just looking up her phone number to call and catch up. Let her know how my son and I were doing. I am so shocked and so saddened by the news of loss. I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Oca and privileged to have her as my sons pediatrician. She was one of the best and I send much peace and love to the family.

Dr. Oca thank you for being so kind and patient with Rick and I with all our questions with Marissa and Landen. They are both going to GWC to complete their AA. Marissa now is 21 and will be going to NAU this fall. Landen will be going to Cal State LB or NAU in 2016, you would be so proud of him and how far he has come. The Gallagher's are saddened by the loss of you on this earth, but were blessed to have you in our lives. To your family may they find comfort in knowing you are now in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I found out about Coras passing from searching new doctors for my new grandbaby. Cora was my sons pediatrician 30 years ago and i wanted to have my grandbaby as well taken care of as my boys. Cora was sweet, well educated but mostly compassionate and truly caring.
May she rest in peace. May all your hearts be healed.

Dear Oca Family,We were so saddened to have heard of her passing. She was at the birth of our daughters who are now 16 and 19. She greeted them with a hug at checkups and even attended their dance recital. She was not only their wonderful and caring doctor, but she was like their aunt. My sister's boys also went to her and are equally sad about the news. She was a very special person and we will miss her. God bless her...we love her.

We were at mass today at St. Bonaventure Church and heard Dr. Oca's name mentioned during prayers for those who have passed. My heart sank. :(
Dr. Oca had been both our sons doctor since their birth. She was the most caring & living doctor to them. She was a wonderful pediatrician and she went the extra mile to ensure their wellbeing. Thank you & God bless you Doctor Oca... I know God has a very special place for you in heaven! We'll miss you, but we'll see you soon in heaven!!!

I remember Dr. Oca when I worked at Hoag Hospital. She was one of the best pediatricians who practiced there. She was gentle and kind to the newborns and the same with the nursing staff. In fact she was my daughter's pediatrician for a time in Fountain Valley. I have the utmost respect and admiration for her and always will. It was my honor to know her and work with her. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

I was so sad to find out today that Dr. Oca passed in March. She was my pediatrician from the time I was 3 on and then when I had my son she took care of him up until she was on leave. She was a great Dr. And my family and I will miss her greatly.

Dr. Oca was the best pediatrician I have ever known. She was a very caring human being who loved her job. She knew my four children (Natalie, Jose, Isaiah and Samuel) by name, and every time we went to her office, she demonstrated genuine interest in their physical and emotional development. My children and I are very sadden to know that we won't be able to see her again in her office because she is now in heaven.

Hi, Nevin Oca.. i was saddened with the loss of Cora. I had several dreams of you and very recent one, the other night. I opened Princess' ipad this Easter Sunday and found out in the obituary. On several occassions, I visited to Dr. Lascano with Prency but nobody was there. Your neighbor guided us to Fernandez St., but Lita is out.
Our deep condolences to you, Ryan, Shereen, and grandchildren. Is GT ( Generoso Teodulo ) same person as Ryan?

Dr. Oca cared for some of my nieces and was so caring and thorough. I also had the privilege of working with her at a local hospital and she was ALWAYS so pleasant to work with and her patients and their families adored her. A gifted doctor and wonderful human being who touched so many lives. My condolences to her family. She was loved by many!

Our heavens have a new angel. We have been so blessed to have had Dr. Oca for my 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Who had a pediatrician that would make a coffee date with a troubled teenager to "talk" with them? I will never forget how you never forgot to ask about my children when I brought my grandchildren in.I know you were sent from the heavens and now you have returned home. Dr. Oca was a very loving, compassionate doctor. She always made us feel like family whenever we visited. We just happen to make an appointment to have my daugther's ears checked today and learned of her passing. God bless, Dr. Oca. Dr. Oca was the pediatrician for both of our children until they were well in their teens; they are now adults. She was a wonderful and caring doctor and both of our kids loved her. Our family is deeply saddened by her passing and will keep her and her family in our prayers. Rest in Peace, Dr. Oca.
