Afton Logue Obituary

Logue, Afton B., went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 14, 2010. Afton was born in Rose, Oklahoma on April 28, 1920. He lived with his family in Arkansas until he joined the Army and served proudly in WWII. He returned from his military duty to California where he met the woman who would be his wife for 61 years, Marty. They had two children, Sandra and Rick. Afton worked as a truck driver for many years, and then joined Orange Unified School District and worked in their maintenance department until he and Marty retired in 1982. Both Afton and Marty loved their family and their church and served their church in many capacities over their years of membership. Afton is survived by his sister, Ruth Tweedy (Paul); his brother, Gene Logue; his daughter, Sandi Alaux (John); his son, Rick Logue (Sara); his two grandchildren, Jenny Piper (David) and Chris Alaux (Amy), and four great-granddaughters, Maggie, Ellie, Charlotte, and Audrey Piper. A Memorial Service will be held at Shannon-Bryan Mortuary, 137 E. Maple, Orange, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21. If you prefer, donations can be made in Afron's name to a charity of your choice.
