RONALD WILBERT WEIGAND Born 8/23/37 - Died 5/5/04 WEIGAND, Ronald Wilbert passed away May 5, 2004 of a massive heart attack. He was born to Wilbert and Elsie Weigand in Blue Island, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years and was a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and Northwestern University. Ronald also served for 28 years in the Garden Grove Police Department and retired as Captain, and served ten years in the Garden Grove Police Department as a background investigator. He was an avid Raider and Laker fan, loved travel, books, woodworking & restoring classic cars. He gave his life to his family, friends and the City of Garden Grove. A loving husband of 33 years, father, grandfather & friends. The model of honor, integrity and loyalty. He was not your average bear. He was perfect. Ronald is survived by his wife Carolyn Weigand; children Stephen & Trish Weigand; brother Richard Weigand and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Jacob, Ronnie, Courtney and Stephen. Visitation is Monday 5/10/04 from 12-5pm at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave in Garden Grove. Service is Tuesday, 5/11/04, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Garden Grove, 12761 Euclid Street in Garden Grove. Burial is at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4471 Lincoln Ave., Cypress.
