I will always remember Mr. Payne's smile...he was so dear to me. He used to go for walks thru the neighborhood, always smiling and waving "hello" to all. He always seemed interested in what I had to say, and we always shared much laughter!! I will miss him and keep him forever in my heart!

The Freemans moved in next door to the Payne Family about 1960 when I was about five. We became good friends instantly with the Paynes and are still good friends to this day, many years later. I grew up knowing "Mr. Payne", as we called him, as a great guy who was always willing to help us kids when ever he could. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor and I will miss him always.I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Payne Family.
