It´s been 12 years since you passed, but it still seems like only yesterday. A lot has happened since then, your grandchildren have become successful business owners, have given you more great grandchildren and we continue to think of you often. I don´t think that anyone could impact my life the way that you did. I miss the talks we used to have, your calm demeanor and wisdom. Living to the standards that you used to has been something I always admired and will carry with me for my lifetime.
We miss you and and know that you are watching from above and smiling.
Merry Christmas Don, we love you! 12/22/2022

We Laid Don to rest on Wednesday 12/29/10. I miss him so much already, He was like a father to me and taught me many things over the years, and I will never forget him. They say you can never measure a person by what they accomplished in life, but you can measure them from the people they touched and how they lived their life. Don certainly touched many lives, and lived it well with his humor, wit and caring heart. His love for his family and dedication to them was always apparent in everything he did.It has been an honor to be part of his life. I have always admired his tenacious nature and respected him immensely for his values. May God Bless Him and reunite him with his wife Mary. Son-In-law, Jim

On the 22nd of December 2010 Don Rose departed this earth into Glory. Don was my father and what a wonderful father I got!. When Don was called home, he did not leaved completely. Man is a three part being, spirit, soul, and body, his spirit lives on in those who knew him and is locked in the hearts of those who loved him. Don watched his children grow from childhood to become productive members of society, well prepared to face the challeges of life. From time to time we all leaned on him, he was a fountain of knowledge and common sense. Don also lived to see his Grandchildren become adults and meet his great grandchildren. My Dad was the family patriarch from start to finish. I have countless memories of my Dad that I will cherish forever, and forever he is locked in my heart. I have to believe that on the 22nd of December, he met the Lord and he heard these words, "Well Done!, thou good and faithful servant. When he left, he left a huge void in my life that may never be filled. My Dad had a humorous nick name for me, "Bubba", I miss hearing him call me that already!. I'll always remember my Dad and how good he was to me.

What a wonderful tribute to your father. I remember an occassion when we were in our "teens when his family came o visit us in Moon Run. He laid in the grass in the back yard looking up at the nearly cloudless sky and said, "This is so beautiful. It is so beautiful."
Donald had a beautiful mind and a kind heart. - Cousin Ethel
