Elizabeth Parker Obituary

Parker, Elizabeth Ann, walked through the gates of heaven and found peace with her lord Monday at 8:45 in the morning on October 11, 2010. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 22, 1959. She moved to California with her family three months later and became a California girl. She grew up in Upland, California but later moved to Laguna Beach where she walked along the beach every morning. These were the happy days of her life. She was employed in the field of commercial real estate and worked for NAI Capital with her associate and friend Kathleen Howard. Her trials with cancer were extremely difficult yet she faced them with so much courage, bravery and strength. Some might say that she lost her battle with cancer but we know that she won her battle. She freed herself from her cancer ridden physical state and took flight into the arms o f loved ones that awaited her and into the arms of her lord. She did not want to leave this world because she loved us with heart and soul: her family, her friends and the common person on the street, the flowers and the butterflies. She loved the salty air of the ocean, the waves pounding on the beach; she loved the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. She loved life. Izzy was the center of our lives and will continue to be so. Every family and friend gathering, she was always there – bringing us together in a loving spirit. Every time a heart ached or a tear was shed, she was there – consoling and hugging. She had a personal relationship with God and she knew Christ as a brother and God as a father. She walked with them daily and was filled with the spirit of love, hope and charity. She taught those around her that God is love through examples and actions instead of words. She was God's Angel on earth and is now God's Angel in heaven. She is survived by her father, Klaus D. Pikschus; her mother, Grace Anne Martin, four brothers, K. Daniel Pikschus, David Pikschus, Steven Pikschus, Jesse Pikschus and sister, Lori May Elms. She is also survived by a stepmother, Jane Pikschus, a stepfather, Charles W. Martin, seven stepsisters, six aunts, two uncles, her cousins, nieces, nephews and their extended families. Services were held at Lantern Bay Park and a Celebration of Life reception was held at Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point.

I am so sorry to hear of Liz's death , when I found out I could hardly contain myself. Liz and I were best friends part of elementary through high school. We lost track of each other. I've thought of her so many times through the years, and then thought of looking her up on FB just about 2 weeks ago. I am so saddened that we didn't keep in touch all these years. We were at each others house all the time, me mostly at her's, and Klaus and Grace were always so good to me,always letting me come over, sleep over, treated me like family. Liz was one of the most fun friends you could have, She made me laugh. My dad used to call her 'Dennis' (the menace) she called him 'Mr. Wilson'. so of course she started calling me 'Fremont' (mr. wilson's dog). We had many great times together. Until we meet again Liz, I will miss and love you forever and treasure the memories we had together. LaNell
