Eugene Wahl Obituary

Wahl, Eugene J. "Gene," passed away December 31, 2010. Gene was born January 10, 1928 in Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Elia; his sister, Beverly Amundson; three sons, Jeff, Greg and Jay; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Jenniffer, and a great-grandson on the way. Gene is a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He was an active general contractor in California in the 60's and 70's building over 20 convalescent hospitals, many industrial buildings, apartment buildings and condo's. Gene was one of the founders of the annual "Wild Game Feed". He retired early to spend time doing what he loved most; fishing, hunting, and traveling in Alaska, Canada and Mexico. A memorial service for family and close friends is being held on Wed. Jan. 19th, 10:00am at Dilday Brothers Funeral Home in Huntington Beach.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to www.friendsofrollo.com

So many fond memories, loved to hear the stories he would tell that happened back in the day! Jack and Gene were great friends. I have thought so often of all of you since I heard of Gene's death. Love and Blessings. Aunt Barbara
