Glenda Trimble Obituary

Trimble, Glenda Allison One of Laguna's own, Glenda Allison Trimble passed away Oct. 11 at her home in Laguna Beach after protracted respiratory illnesses. Glenda Rae was born in Long Beach on June 19, 1936, and grew up among the towering eucalyptus and grassy meadows of Canyon Acres in on a charming three-home compound built by her father. She graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 1954, with 75 classmates, a close-knit group, many of whom started kindergarten together. Glenda assumed an informal role of class secretary by staying in touch, organizing class reunions and yearly get-together Super Bowl parties. Renowned for her wit, integrity, infectious laugh, fun-loving nature, she was ever a lover of all children and animals. The Laguna community came to know her best as a selfless volunteer and outstanding organizer. Her son, Scotty recalled, "The last person Mom thought about at the end of the day was herself." Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Captain Lee and Mabel Allison; her brother Scott and sister Beverly Allison, M.D. The family suggests contributions, in lieu of flowers, to: Hospice of Saddleback Valley, 23521 Paseo de Valencia, Suite 100 Laguna Hills, CA 92653. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 47 years, Paul Trimble, their son Scotty, and his wife Melissa, and her class of 1954, all of Laguna Beach.

As Paul Trimble knows, I was extremely sorry to hear about Glenda's passing. However, in retrospect, I realize she is now in a better place. I so much enjoyed knowing Glenda.
