Bennett, Jerry M. Beloved grandfather, father, husband, and son Jerry M. Bennett, passed away on October 1, 2010 at his home in San Clemente, CA from Lung Cancer. Jerry will be forever missed by his father, Eddie; his wife, Annette; his brother, Bob; son, Michael and two daughters; Juline Mastrilli (Michael) and Diane Friman (Marko); along with his 4 grandchildren, Trevor, Madeleine, Martin Friman and James Mastrilli. Jerry was born and raised in El Segundo, CA and lived in Fountain Valley for 32 years before moving to San Clemente. In June Jerry celebrated his company's (Continental Insurance Adjusters) 30 years in business. He loved everything outdoors including golf, skiing, boating, hunting and especially fishing at his summer home in MN. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to either The National Cancer Institute or Vitas Hospice Care, 220 Commerce, Suite 100, Irvine 92602. Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7th , 1pm at Saddleback Church, 1 Saddleback Pkwy, Lake Forest, CA 92630 | Phone: (949) 609-8000.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Jerry for 31 years as his typist. Jerry was a special individual and was always there with an open ear and a hearty laugh and made you feel special...you could always count on Jerry and I, as well as my husband and son, will miss him terribly. My wife and I worked for Jerry from 1977-1982. He was instrumental in my getting my state license. There was something different about Jerry. He was fun to work with, professional, honest and caring both in his personal life and work. We have fond memories of Jerry and he will be greatly missed.

Jerry and I go back almost three years. During that time, I really grew to love the guy. He was one of those guys whom quite literally would give you the shirt off his back. Jerry was always up for anything. He truly did love his cabin and fishing. Everyone who knew him can attest to his character. And… yes he could also be; quite the character. Jerry was one whom I remain proud to call my friend! I will miss him.
