Lynn Jackson Obituary

Jackson, Lynn E. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 22, 2010 of natural causes. Lynn enjoyed a long and multifaceted life. He was born in Long Beach, California, May 5, 1914. As a young man he sang in a trio with his brothers, The Hometown Boys. They performed on KFWB radio and on stage at the Ambassador Hotel's Coconut Grove in Los Angeles. In his late twenties, he became president of Ferguson Door Company in Pittsburg, PA. He entered the Army during World War II and served in Germany until the end of the war. Lynn worked with Quinton Engineers of Los Angeles during the 1950s and 1960s. Lynn founded and was CEO of an environmental consulting firm, EFS in Los Angeles during the 70s and 80s which represented Standard Oil of Ohio and other major developers. Married to Mary E. (Bette) Maguire on June 24, 1943 for 67 years, they lived in Arcadia, CA for thirty five years where they raised two children, the late Ronald Jackson and Lynda King. Lynn is survived by his wife Bette, daughter Lynda King, son in law, Robert King, and four grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson, Peter Jackson, Robert King, III and Ronald King. Memorial services and celebration of Lynn Jackson's life will be held at the Chrystal Cathedral at 1 p.m. on November 5, 2010.

I'm thankful for the many opportunities i had to listen to Mr. Jackson reflect on his life and the changes he experienced. I know that I'm better off because of the times I was able to be in his presence.
