Marjorie Kettler Obituary

Kettler, Marjorie M., passed away in her Huntington Beach home, September 23, 2010, the day of her 67th Anniversary of her marriage to her loving husband, William E. (Bill) Kettler. She is survived by William daughter, Karen Kluewer and her two sons, Howard and Kurt, all of Huntington Beach. Also four grandchildren, Brett Kluewer, Lauren Prelesnick, William M. Kettler and Ashlyn Kettler. Marjorie was a long time member of the Huntington Beach Chapter of P.E.O. and The Huntington Beach Methodist Church. A beautiful lady, inside and out, who will always be remembered as one who cared for others, always putting them first. She and William spent weekends at Palm Springs and before travel became too difficult, spent several weeks each year in Hawaii and Mexico. Prior to the time travel became limited due to her Pulmonary Fibrosis, she and Bill were fortunate to travel and cruise extensively with a flight on the Concorde among many memorable experiences. Their love of the beauty and history of the United States made wonderful lifelong memories. A private Family Memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please give to the First United Methodist Church of Huntington Beach, 2721 Delaware, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 in her memory. Her father and mother, Roy and Frances Smith, were among its staunchest members.

Marge was our "adopted Mom". She had such a warm and welcoming way about her and a knack for making everyone feel so special. We loved her very much and will miss her. I loved it when she called me "Rosie", just like my mother used to do! The world has definitely lost one of it's best people, however, we know she is not far away and her memory will always be with us. Our hearts go out to the Kettler family at this difficult time. With love, Rosanne & Bill

Aunt Marge will always hold a special place in our hearts. My family still talks about how special Aunt Marge was and our memories growing up with all the family gatherings at Lake Arrowhead and the holidays. She was such an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and aunt to us all. God bless you in these hard times. With Love Kathy Kettler Gateley.
