FRANK FLORES Obituary

Flores, Frank Luigi, 83, passed away July 29, 2013 at his home in Newport Beach, California. Frank was born November 6, 1929 to Natale and Giroloma Flores in Monterey, California.

Frank graduated from Monterey High School in 1947 and continued on to Monterey Peninsula College. His track skills carried him to USC, and as Captain, he lead his team to the National Championships in 1952.

After graduating from USC Dental School in 1962, Frank began his career as a Pediatric Dentist in Costa Mesa, California. He was well loved by his patients and colleagues, and contributed much of his time to the California Dental Association.

His retirement in 1996 left him time to play golf, travel and enjoy his family.

Frank is survived by his children, John, James, Tracy and Julie Flores; his grandchildren, Samantha, Alexandra and Matthew Flores; his wife, Elizabeth Plaxton Flores and her children Bruce, Mark, Julie and Dorie and their families; and his sisters, Maria Maneatis and Elizabeth Pittman.

Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Frances Flores and his sister, Rose Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at St Joachim's Church in Costa Mesa, California on Tuesday August 6th, 2013 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Carmelite Nuns of Carmel, California and to Trojan Force Track Club at the University of Southern California.

Dearest Betty, John, Jim, Tracy and Julie, Please know that Frank and all of you have been been in our prayers for some time, and we will miss his humor, spirit, and enthusiastic love of family and life. His faith, dignity and caring will never be forgotten. He was always a person we admired and were proud of. He exemplified all the best as a person of genuine character and kindness; that is who great men are. We will truly miss our dear cousin Frank. Danny Aliotti & Family
