THOMAS HORA Obituary

HORA, THOMAS ANDREW , age 35, passed away in his sleep on August 7, 2010 into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior. A big man with a big heart, Tom spent most of his younger years growing up on Lake Harney near Geneva, FL. He graduated as an EMT and was employed by American Ambulance Services. He entered the US Army Quartermaster Corps and was assigned to Dover Air Force Base Armed Forces Joint Mortuary Services in Dover, Delaware. Upon separation he was employed by Mills and Nebraska Lumber in Orlando until his retirement for health reasons. Tom had plans and dreams for the future and was excited to share them with all of us. He will always be remembered for his generous nature. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss his smile and his laughter. Tom is survived by his daughter, Princess
Andrea Hora; son, Alex Perez; parents, Jim and Dee Hora Geneva, FL; sister, Michelle Brooks, Casselberry, FL; brother, Christopher Scott Hora, Orlando, FL; one grandchild and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated Friday, 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, in Winter Springs, FL with Fr. Stephen Parkes officiating. My deepest sympathy to all of the Hora family. Tom was one class act cool guy. Always made us comfortable & laugh when we were around him. We will all miss him greatly, but he will always remain in our hearts, thoughts & prayers till we meet again someday. God bless him.

One time, Tom told me (in so many words) that I was a very cool person- and I took a minute to process the compliment, and responded with: "Well Tom, I feel the exact same about you. I'd like to see more of you." and with that, he laughed loudly and it made me feel as if I'd made the best joke ever. Tom will be missed terribly, I wish I knew him more; and to his family, who's hearts are the heaviest- please know that we all loved him so much, and always will.

Jim, Dee, Michelle and Scott. My Heart goes out to you all. Tom was an amazing person to know and love as a Friend. He always had a smile on his face and was interested in knowing everybody in his life was doing well. There was not one time that I have ever spent with Tom that I didn't have a great laugh with him and share lots of stories and fun times. He will be dearly missed by everybody whom he has touched in his short life here on God's Earth but is smiling looking down on all of us from Heaven. I am honored to have called him my Friend. We will all miss you Tom.
