Susan Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, SUSAN HOLBROOK, 76 of Orlando, passed away on May 27, 2011. She was born February 25, 1935 in Keene, NH to George and Elizabeth Holbrook. Susan graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Chemistry and then later in life attended the University of Central Florida studying for her Master's in Computer Programming. Susan had a passion for genealogy, having 21 shelves of family history data at her home and writing a book on her findings. Susan always volunteered for the hard stuff. She was very involved with the Pine Castle Little League, acting as Vice President of the Girls Division and Official Scorer. She was a costume designer for the Central Florida Twirling Institute. Along with her husband, she is in the Hall of Fame for the Central Florida Officials Association. Susan was also active with the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit serving as judge, treasurer and tabulator, and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. She acted as an attendance clerk for Winegard Elementary and was a substitute teacher for Orange County Schools, and was a computer programmer for Southeast Medical Billing Services. Susan is survived by her loving husband Roland Taylor; sons Raymond Taylor of St. Louis and James Taylor of Orlando; granddaughters Erin and Allison Taylor of St. Louis; brothers George "Pete" Holbrook of Amelia Island, FL and Thomas Holbrook of Keene, NH; sisters Sarah Carroll of Valders, WI, Cynthia Sivonen of Sun Lakes, AZ, Carol Brown of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Martha LaFleur of Keene, NH; three nieces and 14 nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Baldwin Fairchild Lake Ivanhoe Chapel in Orlando. Please view and sign the family guestbook at www.baldwinfairchild.com.
