June Bernadine Rich Burch

BURCH, JUNE BERNADINE RICH, 90, of Orlando, died at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011 at her home. She was born January 31, 1921 in Westfield, Illinois, the daughter of Fred Day Rich and Margaret Ginny V.
Durham. She was united in marriage with Lonnie Allen Burch on December 25, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was stationed in the U.S. Army; he preceded her in death on February 11, 1999. She is survived by her son, Barry Allen Burch, and his wife Shirley, of Telford, Tennessee; son-in-law, Wayne Richard Miller, of Orlando; grandson Robert Allen Burch, of Mohamet, Illinois; granddaughter Tammy Sue Padilla, and her husband
William, of Monticello, Illinois; granddaughter Toni Denise Boone, and her husband Earl, of Orlando; and grandson Terry Wayne Miller, and his wife Tara, of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Kolden Burch,
Michael Davis, Ashlee Larson, Stephanie Smith, James Boone, Chloe Miller and Patrick Miller as well as great great grandchildren Mackenzee Larson and Katie Smith. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie June
Miller. She is also survived by brother-in-law Russell Burch and sisters-in-law Lorena Key, Helen Jacob, Joann Jacob and Grace Gaffney. Granddaughter of Arcola, Illinois Free-Methodist minister Ruben Durham and his wife Sarah, June graduated from Arcola High School in 1939. After World War II, she worked at the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, Indiana, then as a receptionist in a doctor's office. In 1968, June and Lonnie moved to Orlando. Over the next several decades, she worked for Webb's Fabulous Pharmacy, American Greetings, Tower Cards & Gifts and Paramount Cards. Filled with a love for life, her favorite pastime was collecting shells and turning them into beautiful works of art. She always said her favorite place to be was at home surrounded by her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Downey Memorial Church, 10201 East Colonial Drive, Orlando at 7:00 p.m.
