The time I remember most about Elizabeth (the name by which I knew her) was when she came to Japan with her family - Sam, Flora Ann, Sammy and Barry when Flora Ann was 12, I believe. We went out to the beach, very primitive, but it provided a good place for the Pinder children and for our Mobley boys. It gave Elizabeth and me a chance to walk on the beach alone and enjoy talking about things ladies like to talk about. I remember that it was amazing how well we all got along in a house with only two bedrooms. One of the times I treasure most is when Mack and I attended a Friday night Bible Study/Prayer Meeting with Elizabeth and Sam. Sam had returned from a business trip early to be there. It gave us a chance to get into Sam's and Elizabeth's hearts, to see how real their faith was. I appreciate you, Flora Ann and Sammy, looking after your mom as you did.
God bless you all.

Dear Pinder Family,
I knew your Mom and Grandmother as my Aunt Elizabeth. My Mother, Carolyn Agnes Mobley Washington, is her surviving sister. She is 84 years old now and unable to travel to Florida for the Memorial Service. I can remember many special ocasions when the Mobley Family would all get together at Grandma and Grandaddy Mobley's house in Thomson. Those were great times. Aunt Elizabeth was a very special lady and we were always excited when her family was able to come. I recall that you guys lived in many different places while your Dad served in the Air Force so it was always treat to see you.
Know that your Mom was loved by all of us and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love,
Betty and Jerry Carter

Jane Pinder was a sister of my father, Robert S. Mobley. I always knew her as Aunt Elizabeth and was not aware she was known as "Jane" until a few years ago when I received a Christmas card and she had used Jane Pinder in the return address. She was so proud and loving of her family. May God bless them.

When i think of aunt Elizabeath, and how kind and generous she was to our family. She was always sending us gifts when she was in the service, and my we needed them. She sent mama a watch she wore for years. She made you feel so welcome when ever we saw her.

Jane Pinder was my Mother's older sister, she was quite a woman, serving in the military when ladies were a rarity, especially women officers. She always had a smile on her face and was a very open and loving person. We had not kept in close touch because of the distance between us, but I kept up with her by the letters we received from her daughter Flora Ann. God Bless and keep you "Aunt Elizabeth!"

I knew Jane Mobley Pinder longer than almost anyone in the family, for I am her surviving brother, Rev. Marion ("Mack")Mobley, age 80. "Elizabeth," as I always knew her, was my idol, my mentor, my Angel of Splendor. I knew her best for how she treated me at all times, always seeking my best, never allowing me to settle for the mediocre. I will miss her until we meet again in Heaven. I pray that our entire family will be there to praise God through out eternity.

The Pinder family has always held a special place in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss, I remember her as such a wonderful person and I still think of Barry often. Some things you just can't forget no matter how much time goes by. Much love to you,
