Every group of students who attended her classes adopted her as their own. She directed our plays and helped us attend competitions. We may have taken her a little for granted then, but as we went on with life, we kept recognizing how much the things she taught us helped us to succeed. I hope there is someone like her for future generations of students.

Mrs. Coleman was my speech teacher in 1962. She was a skilled and demanding teacher. One requirement was to always prepare a sentence outline for every speech or.paper. Complaints rained down from the students but she did not compromise. To this day the organizational skill she forced us to practice has been a great boon. I am continuously reminded of her gift. Rest in peace to a teacher in the truest sense of the word.

I knew her as Aunt Nan and Uncle Boyd and we always celebrated birthdays and holidays. I also had her as a Latin teacher and took Latin at her FSU. My family will miss them both but they are in a better place God bless.

She was a wonderful teacher of Latin and drama. She sponsored the drama club when I was in high school and directed a number of plays. She was so supportive of everyone's efforts in whatever they undertook, a real inspiration to those of us who followed in her footsteps as teachers.

I didn't think Mrs. Coleman would ever leave this earth because she was a part of it! I took Spanish first and then Latin and we had a go of it. She got me when she picked me to be her SLAVE at the Latin Banquet!!! Colonel George Herndon, (Ret) '56 Edgewater, FL.
