My son was 18 I have 3 sons still in the land of the living.
Our purpose is to live one day at a time,

I don't know what to say. I loved his silliness. Everytime I watch Finding Nemo I can hear him mocking the birds (mine,mine,mine) or when I go to Universal I will never forget the time he & Holley talked me into going on the tower of doom.I thought my heart stopped.They thought that was sooo funny. Or when we go on the Dinosaur ride.I miss him sooooo much. He was a wonderful person. I am so glad he was a part of my life.I loved him like a son.

Shawn was my best friend. We did almost everything together. He always put a smile on my face and knew how to cheer me up. He touched my life in so many ways. He was my butthead. I miss him so very much. He was suppose to be my daughters god father and I never got to ask him because I was in Alaska. Shawn was the brother I never had and the Son my parents never had. The sound of that mighty crash will forever resound in my ears_ even though I didn’t actually hear it!! My husband, mike and I were at our Orlando home putting up siding, the last piece in the front. Everything was coming together on the house, and then life changed with the blink of an eye. My mother in law pulled up in the drive way she had see a news report about an accident on 436, it was a black Integra. Her commit was it looks like Stephanie’s car, I’m afraid it’s Shawn. My thoughts went to panic, it can’t be him. I called his phone just to say I love you, Please God don’t let it be Shawn. Mike jumped on his 1600 Vulcan, Margaret got in her car, Kyle and I got in my car, and took the trip to the worst day of our life.
We came to the Lowe’s parking lot all other entrances were closed off and police were everywhere. We parked the car and ran down to the street that claimed my son’s life. Kyle saw the speaker that Shawn made, that was all he needed to see, to know that it was his oldest brother. He fell to his knees and cried news media everywhere. I told them to turn the cameras off.
They had just put his lifeless body in the coroners van as we arrived at the accident. Too much trauma to the head is what untimely took his life. The two phantom cars that left the scene caused the events to take place and never looked back.

I am deeply sadden to hear of the loss of Shawn. It is difficult to understand but God has plan for everyone. I recently lost my brother in a similar tragedy so I know how you are feeling. I can remember times when I was coaching Corys, Conway little league team and after the game, his big brother Shawn would help us put away our equiment and help us cleanout the dugout.
