MARKUS, Murray W. Of Ottawa, and formerly of Cobden passed away in the Ottawa General Hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in his 67th year. Murray Markus, dear father of David (Tara) Markus. Loving granddad of Jeffrey. Also survived by 5 sisters Catherine (Tom Faught); Alma Cybulski, Marion Kraft, June Popke, Linda (Charles Field) and 4 brothers Milton (Marilyn); Robert (Gloria); Alfred (Judy); Donald (Darlene) and special friends Tina,Emma, Jane, Dexter, Tom (Patty) Faught, David (Jane) Faught and June (Don Hall) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 1 sister Viola (Eldon Thom) and 1 brother David. The Funeral Service will be held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Cobden Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 3 p.m. Spring interment Cobden Union Cemetery. Donations to the Healing Cycle Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.

My sincere condolences to Murray's family. I have worked with Murray for 23 years. Murray was a very well liked individual in the Giant Tiger family. He will be missed but not be forgotten.

Markus family
I worked with Murray 40 years ago at the Citizen.He was a absolutely fantatstic person with this unbelievable personality.He was also a very good snooker player.We played many a game together.The world was a better place because of Murray.I'm so sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to all of you.
