It is 4 years later and I have just heard about Malcolm’s passing. Malcolm & Enid
and my husband Harvey & I met on a cruise to Asia many years ago. Coincidentally, we were seated at the same table where we shared meals and laughed so hard that we were often the last to leave the dining room. Others would stop by our table to find out what we found so funny and why we seemed to be having such a wonderful time. In fact, we had such a great time together that we decided to cruise together again the following year, but this time on a jazz cruise. We had a great time once again. A few years later we came to Kingston to visit Malcolm & Enid with my elderly aunt. Not only did they arrange for us to stay at a comfortable Bed & Board, but they couldn’t have been better hosts throughout our stay. We were sad when hearing of Enid’s passing. Recently, I sent a Christmas card to Malcolm, letting him know of the passing of Harvey three months ago. Yesterday I received a note, with my returned card, signed by the woman who is living in what was Malcolm’s apartment. She very kindly informed me of Malcolm’s death four years ago. It hit me hard, but I was pleased to know that he died while enjoying what he loved to do best....travel.
I send my belated but sincere condolences to Fiona and her family on her loss. Fiona, although we have never met, I can tell you that your dad wrote about you with love in every letter we exchanged. He was very proud of you.
May fond memories of both your parents ease your loss.
Sincerely, Elaine Socol.....Fullerton California, formerly from Toronto.

I am very sad to learn the passing of Malcom Peat. Dr. Peat, former director of the School of Rehabilitation Therapy played a significant role in advising and mentoring my academic career at Queen's University; first as a junior member of the Department of Anatomy (1986) and later as the head of the former head of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology (1996-2007). It was through the cooperation and support of Dr. Peat that the graduate program of Anatomy and later of Anatomy and Cell Biology achieved its national and international status. Thank you.
I will always remember the chats we had during our meetings along the path between Nixon Field and Kingston Hall.
To the Peat family, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

It was my great pleasure to be on The CPA
National Executive during his Presidency
1982-83. He was such a beautiful quiet spoken leader who had the respect of his
colleagues.
We shared an extra bond as he did his teacher training at The Royal Infirmary Glasgow School of Physiotherapy where I did my Physiotherapy training.
Thank you Malcolm you were a great leader
and contributor to our profession.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
