MARRINER, Leonard Phillip 1931 - 2007 With love and gratitude for having had him in our lives, the family of Len Marriner announces that Dad passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, surrounded by love, just the way he lived. Cherished husband, sweetheart and best friend for over 30 years of Sylvia (nee Ashworth). Survived by sisters Mary (Harold Beamish) and Patsy (Don Caulder) and pre-deceased by sister Barb (Chuck Forrester), brothers Eddy (Eileen Marriner), Wally, Gordon and Warren. Pre-deceased by his wife Thelma Marriner (nee Gray) and loving father to Nancy Whitehead (Gregg Crawford), Lori (the late Kenny Gorman), Mary (Arthur Buttle), Katy (Donald Picco), Sue Marriner (Michael Murray), Judy Marriner and Wendy (David Bower). Dear stepfather to Linda McGowan (John Clarke) and Wayne McGowan (Lavinia). Fun loving and much loved Grampa to Barb and Kevin Whitehead (Jen Dufour), Paula Gorman, Trulie Walker and Matthew Buttle, Gray and Dallas Picco (Tyler Kennedy), Melanie Guindon, Pamela (Mitch Lavergne) and Amanda Poulton, Phillip and Jessie Bower, Steven (Steven Pavlinek) and Lisa Clarke, Joanne (Ian Burns) and Jason McGowan. Wonderful Great-grandfather to Tristan, Justin, Madison, Paige, Liam and Trent. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and a very wide circle of friends. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff in the ICU at the Ottawa Heart Institute for their precious care of Len. A Memorial Service was held in Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa) on Friday, July 13th. In memoriam, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society.
