I worked with Maj. West in NDHQ during the eighties'.
I thought he was a kind man.
He always had a smile; was always jovial, and we would always joke.
Maj. West would talk to you, and not at you.
I was a lowly clerk, so I really enjoyed conversing, and working with LCOL. West.
Godspeeed to him!

Among men, there are those that stand above all. Their integrity, humanity, compassion and honor make us all richer for having been allowed to be part of their lives. It was a privilege and an honor to have known such a man. He will be sorely missed.
