Died peacefully on May 10, 2013 at the age of 87. Oldest son of Adélard and Dorilda (née Lavigne). Loving father of Suzanne, Ginette Sheen (Clarke), Michelle, Victor (Lisette Major), Jocelyne, Benoit (Susan King) and Marthe (Ian Leighton). Dear grandfather of Danielle Bruyère (Jean Lamadeleine), Laurier, Pascale and Marseille Lachance. Great- grandfather of Maxime, Julia and Camille Lamadeleine. Will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters, Muriel Charron, Anita Lafrance, Henriette Joubarne, Célane Pagé (Paul), Alcide (Sylvia), Richard, Denis (Gert), Lorraine Martin and Marcel (Julie O'Hollaren). Predeceased by his wife Denise (née Ralph) and his brother Hubert. Gérald was a respected research scientist in the field of quantitative x-ray fluorescence analysis. The family would like to express its sincere thanks to all the nurses, personal support workers and staff who provided such wonderful care and comfort during his stay at Villa Marconi. In keeping with Gérald's wishes, there will be no wake or funeral. Interment will take place at a later date. For those wishing, memorial donations to Villa Marconi or the Parkinson's Society of Canada would be appreciated.
