The family announces with sorrow the sudden passing of Don on Saturday July 27th, 2013 at the age of 62 years. Loving fiancé of Cheryl Goudreau. Dear father of Breena Gormley. Cherished son of Florence (nee Clemen) and the late Paul Gormley. Brother of Gayle Gormley-Sevigny (Peter) and Bryan (Dawna Miriguay). Uncle to Shannon, Ryan and Brendon. He will be sadly missed by many members of the Goudreau family. Friends may pay respects at the

I was stunned today when I heard that Don was no longer with us. We went to high school together and our paths have crossed happily several times since. Flo, Gayle, Bryan, Breena and Cheryl (although we've never met), my condolences.

I remember Don from our days a Carleton and his great Raven games; in the Bahamas living on the beach, golfing and winning at the casino with his mathematical genius; and while in his Hornet, getting a speeding ticket from the New York state trooper (and saying I guess I am just used to the Canadian speed limits). Just a few examples of his younger days and zest for life.

Don, I just heard about your untimely passing. I considered you not just my lawyer but a friend as well. You helped me navigate through a relationship that did not go well and, thankfully, one that did. To say you were a great guy would be putting it mildly. I will miss you, Don.

Dear Uncle Donald,it has now been one month since your timely unexpected departure.There hasn't been a day gone by,that I haven't shed a tear for you.Now,you are probably asking..."How are my 4 girls doing?"...Mom,Bree,Cheryl,and my sister,Gayle.Well,I will tell you this,they are all handling this in their own special way,and they are ALL very strong.**And I SWEAR....I will do everything to help them**!!! I'm sure by now,you've already asked the best tennis players in heaven,(who ever played),for a "hit". Play them with the dignity that you played with,and...if they don't want to play for '5' hours,respect them...not everyone can/could keep up with your stamina,lol.My future will never be the same without you! Donald will always be in our memory. He was the most honest, gentle, generous person we have every had the good fortune to deal with in our life. We shared his love for his Daughter Breena and Mother Flo and think of them also in this sad time.

How difficult to realize and accept the passing of this lovely man, a person whose kindness, expertise and assistance made my personal decision-making easier and possible. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss. I know how much your Dad meant to you and I know how proud he was to have you as a daughter. His love for you and his infinite pride of all your accomplishments was never more evident than in the recent pictures from your convocation ceremony. I am so glad that you have those recent pictures and those moments to hold on to right now.
