Paddy - I am deeply saddened by Meg's passing. She was a truly great person that God obviously spent that extra moment with to make her exceptional. I knew her as a business associate, but saw her as a friend. She will be missed.

Today has now turned into one of the saddest days possible for me.I met a man that I had worked with at Bell many years ago and somehow Jim and Meg Buckley's names came up.He told me about Meg's sudden death in some kind of a bicycle accident.I am devistated. She was one of the most beautiful persons I've ever known.I lost touch with her after our Bell days but I would think about her often.I was overjoyed when I met just last year at a funeral of a friend of her's.We had a great hug and shared some memories of old times.I loved her and will never forget her.I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Paddy,
I am so sorry to learn of Meg's passing. We were traveling overseas and I didn't learn of her accident until today. She was a wonderful colleague, mentor and a bright, loving person. Her generous nature was unparalleled and she was an inspiration to so many. I will always remember her bright, cheerful smile that made all work more enjoyable. She made a lasting impact on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Dear Paddy,
I got to know Meg through Dempsey at the Windsor Dog Park. My son Alex was very young when he would spot Dempsey on the street, and he would always ask if he could pat your dog. Meg was always so warm, delightful and kind to my son. When we got our own dog Scarlett, we spent many mornings chatting, laughing and sharing stories. More than just dog stories. Meg was truly wonderful. It is incomprehensible to me that such a positive, delightful spirit is gone. I will honour Meg by remembering her kindness, warmth and loving spirit.

We were very very sad to hear of Meg's passing. She was a wonderful person. When first we met, at the Intercontinental that time, I felt she and I had been as long and good friends as you and I have. This was just one of her gifts, as I came to know, a great empathy and understanding.

Dear Paddy & Buckley family & Dussault family,
Bryan and I are grateful to have met Meg on several occasions; she was such a lovely person. Meg had affectionately nicknamed me her “virtual friend” as we had initially spoken on the phone or via Paddy more often than we had met. She would also often ask “how's my cousin”, referring to Bryan (who bore a resemblance to a cousin of hers). Meg always greeted us with a great big hug and a smile; she was very engaging and always made one feel special.
May you find peace and comfort from memories of love shared. You have your wonderful family and many friends to help you through these difficult times. Our thoughts are with you.

Meg was a high school friend who was a great comfort and help to me after my divorce. As well as a positive outlook and sincere concern for friends, she was fiercely loyal. She told me that she was proud of me at one point in my drawn out divorce and that meant a lot to me. One always thinks that the great ones will always be around, but this was not meant to be. My heart goes out to Paddy and Meg's family.

Dear Paddy,
I was so very saddened to hear the news about Meg from my brother Murray. There is probably very little any of us can say to console your great loss, but Murray tells me you are believers, and I know "without a shadow of a doubt" that if we trust in God, especially in times likes this He will be there to comfort and console us. I met Meg that one time, long ago, when I came up to Ottawa and we all played a bit of hockey...well you guys did! I remember her and I know that time will heal this huge gap in your life, but nothing will ever replace her presence, until you meet her again. God Bless all of you during this time of sadness and loss.

Paddy, my husband already wrote here on behalf of our family (Zwickers). I just wanted to add that I can understand the sorrow of losing someone very close to you. I didn't lose my soul-mate like you, but I did lose my mother. What struck me was that she also died on Tuesday, July 30th (just like Meg), but 11 years ago. We will miss seeing Meg's smiling face at St. Patrick's. Volunteers are the pulse of our parish. And it seems to me that you both put your heart into serving others. Thank you for that. And a little side note : thank you for rescuing my toddler today from running out the side door of the Church. He told me he was going to get his sunglasses in the car! Meg was a ray of sunshine when we worked together at the Bell Innovation Centre. Even after leaving Bell she kept in touch with her former colleagues at our Clocktower get-togethers.
