My condolences Mrs. Ignatieff to you and your family,
I worked for Nick in the early 90's at the Premier's Council and thought of him fondly over the years. I'm sadden to learn that he has left this world. He was truly a decent human being.

I am so sad to learn of Nick's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those who knew and loved Nick. I am certainly one of those people. For me, Nick was a truly inspiring person, generous, self-effacing, gentle yet intellectually rigorous and firm in convictions, and more than anything deeply committed to making this a better world. I learned so much from Nick. I am just so sad that he is gone.

He was a gentle light in the darkness, a leader out of it, a guide, and overall, generous with his kindness, his knowledge, his time, and his energy.

He loved and cared with gracious humanity.

I will miss him.

A wonderful man -- bright, compassionate, humourous, insatiably curious, and good all the way through. He will be missed greatly by his many friends in Cobourg. With deepest condolences to Ceclia, Ralph and Judy Torrie Smith.
