Condolences to family . Just reading Harrowsmiths Country Life. Thought I'd google the whereabouts of some of the stories of these early pioneers. Very interesting, indeed.

Having witnessed in person the handing out of the Cathleen Kneen Award at Food Secure Canada's Annual Conferences, and in 2018 it was awarded in Montréal by Brewster in person; I can say Cathleen will continue to influence us all for years to come.

Through an email from another friend, today I learned of Cathleen's death. There is nothing I can say, no comfort I can offer for the loss. I am just grateful that I knew her.
Much love to her family,

Cathy was a very kind and generous person. I remember Brewster and Cathy visiting our family when I was a child. Cathy listened to what I said intently- which I thought unusual at the time for an adult to really listen to a child. She made me feel that my opinion really mattered, even though I was young.

We will miss Cathleen's huge smile and hearty laugh with the many times she and Brewster swam up to our dock and shared a glass of wine. She loved the lake and the swimming more than anyone I know. Too soon, too fast, never enough time. Love, Lesley Harman
