Charles D. Hooker, 90, of Sanford, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Tendercare-Clare.
Mr. Hooker was born May 20, 1921 in Chippewa Twp., Mecosta Co., to Royal Hooker and Laura Denniston Hooker.
Charles was a Sanford area resident for the last 47 years. He had worked at the American Logging Tool in Evart, did construction work, and worked at Continental Can. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Mr. Hooker is survived by special friend, Grace Thrush of Sanford; son, Jerry (Sharon) Hooker of Sanford; and sister, Florence Eaton of Evart. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thelma; three sisters, Corina, Inez, and Josephine; and brother, Floyd.
A memorial serevice will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart.
