Jayden Lamb, 8 years old, of Midland, went to be with His Lord late Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 2012, at the MidMichigan Medical Center after a two and half year courageous battle with cancer. He is now gaining his wings in Heaven. Jayden was born on Dec. 12, 2003, in Saginaw. He was a third grade student at Pine River Elementary. He enjoyed cub scouts, baseball, trains, monster trucks, music (especially Brad Paisley), riding his gator, his four wheeler, riding his bike, family movie night and camping.

Jayden and his family worshiped at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Jayden is survived by his father and stepmother, Thomas and Nicole Lamb; mother and stepfather, Erin and Mario Rodriguez; two sisters, Jilliyn and Faith; paternal grandparents, Donald and Barbara Lamb; maternal grandparents, Roland Randall and Rebecca Zeiss; stepgrandparents, Jeff Root and Jeanette Brown; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and by his beloved cat, Nala.

Funeral services for Jayden will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, from Messiah Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ed Doerner will officiate, with burial in Poseyville Cemetery. Jayden's family will receive friends at the church today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial fund in Jayden's name to help parents who have lost young children to cancer. Please bring a toy to church to give to a child at Christmas.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, where there will be no visitation for Jayden at the funeral home. www.waresmithwoolever.com
