ROBERT BERGSTROM MURRAY "Bromo" Mr. Murray, 79 of Palm Beach Gardens, died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Hospice of Palm Beach County, after a very brief illness. Born September 12, 1930 in Miami, FL, he was a proud member of the Miami-Edison High Over-the-Hill gang and attended the University of Florida. Employed for over 35 years by Merrill Lunch, he retired from the Jupiter office in 1992 to a quiet life with his wife, Ann, of thirty- seven years. He enjoyed traveling, good dinners out, the stock market and was dedicated to defeating the Florida lottery. In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his sister, Lucy Phenix of Gulfport, MS; a niece, Julie Rayburn of Atlanta, GA; three nephews, Timothy Murray of Brandon, FL, Brian Phenix of Methuan, MA and Robert Phenix of Orlando, FL. Also survived by four step-children, Carol Kelly Johnson of Cahaba Heights, AL, Brian Kelly of Bradenton, FL, Brenda Kelly Amsden-Elam of Morrison, TN and Bruce Kelly of Jupiter; eight grandchildren, April Ann, Timothy, Breana Nicole, Spencer, Erin Trista, Riley Ann, Regan and Matthew; four great-grandchildren and his dog, Chili, who already misses their morning walks. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church of North Palm, 717 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, with the Rev. Ron Hilliard, officiating. Inurnment will be private at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
