JACOB H. BREY Jacob H. Brey of Ormond Beach, FL passed away peacefully at his home on January 16, 2011. Jacob was 85 years old, born in Lehighton, PA on March 16, 1925. A burial service at Bushnell National Cemetery is scheduled for March 2, 2011 by the family. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Scott (Barbara) Evert of Ormond Beach, FL; Jacob, Jr. (Elaine) Brey of Broward County, FL; Judd (Marcella) Ettinger of Denton, TX; Cydne Brey of Allentown, PA; Andrea (Tony) Sylvia of Archer, FL; and Whitney (Gary) White of VA; his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Brey. Jacob celebrated his life with many close friends and adoring family and enjoyed activities such as fishing and listening to Jazz. He joined the Army in February of 1943 and received decorations such as Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, American Thr Service Medal, Victory Med, EAME Thr Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, and was in battles/ campaigns such as GO 33 and 40 WD 45, Northern Frances, Rhineland, Central Europe and was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. Jacob moved to Broward County, FL in 1959 and worked for Food Fair/Pantry Pride as a store manager for 33 years and finished his working career at the William Theis & Sons Distributing for 16 years. He lovingly provided for his wife, Evelyn, when she became ill and loved his family immensely throughout his lifetime.
